Collection: Bottom Brackets

A bottom bracket is usually shortened in talk to "BB." It's the bearing and spindle assembly that connects the left and right crank arms and allows smooth and easy turning. The crank and BB don't have to be the same brand, but they have to be compatible, to result in an offset (technically, "chain line") that in turn is compatible with your front derailer.

Stick with us—we know all this stuff and make it easy for you. All of our BB's are "square taper," and fit the normal English-threaded, 68mm wide frame "hangers" (the part they go in.) Here's our old Bottom Bracket installation video.
