WALLETVILLE Stealth Wallet
WALLETVILLE Stealth Wallet
The topic was wallets and a friend rather harshly commented that "a man pulling out a wallet and the sound of velcro as he opens it, is a sign that he never grew up—like, 'get it together, dude; how old are you?'"
That is NOT the Rivendell stance, but there's something in that. Wherever you stand on wallets, the Walletville opens silently, classily, first time, every time.
It's a Japanese design. I/Grant first got one about 40 years ago. I used it for years, must have lost it, and have been through several wallets since. The last one, a gift from Richard Sachs, not to name-drop or brag. Two months ago I lost it on a trip, cancelled the cards, the whole ball-o'-wax.
This Japan-style wallet is super-genious. It has a place for cards, paper money, and coins—who'd have thunk? Easy access to everything, no fussing. Ideal for hurried payment and putting away at the check out counter. A slob's dream, but works as well for neatniks. If you like the idea but you miss the velcro, put a rubber-band around it. The Japanese would never do that.
Made 17 miles west of here, same place that makes MUSA clothing. All cotton.
