Ilford HP5 - Two rolls for $18

10/20/26 Ilford, those saints, reduced their prices for HP5 so we're pricing it back at 2 rolls for $18. FP4 is still more expensive. 

4/16/26 - Ilford increased their prices, so in order to just break even, we've increased the price to $10 a roll.  It's still the best deal on the net. Yes, we keep everything refrigerated. 

HP5 is the staff favorite black and white film stock. We may dabble with Tri-X, or Kentmere occasionally, but in the end we always come back to regular old HP5. 

It has tons of exposure latitude, especially in the overexposure direction, making it relatively easy to meter by eye and get good images. If you're in mixed light, with both dark shadows and bright stuff in the scene, overexpose by two stops and the highlights will still be easy to scan or print. 

Pull it as far as 100 for that open shadows flat look, or push it to 1600 for dark shadows and lots of grain. We mostly rate it at box speed or just under. 

If you don't plan on using it for awhile, keep it in the fridge. 

The 35mm rolls are 36 exposure length. 

These aren't old rolls. We buy them fresh from the distributor and in small enough quantities that they don't sit around for too long.
