Sackville SlickerSack

When good impressions can win you the girl, the guy, the deal, the contract, the land, the respect, the kingdom, and the glory forever and ever, the only sane sack choice is the Slicker. It is the fastidious flagship of the Sackville line, and frankly, puts all other briefcases and laptop and porteurish bags to slobbering sobbing shame, shame, shame.

It's not pocket-laden. It's one open bag, but there's a Velcro-in divider, so you can separate things into three compartments, for whatever reason you may want to do that. Cameras from lenses from your wallet and film? Sure. Get yourself some egg-carton foam and pack it with Leicas, lenses, and a laptop. It's handy enough for anything, and is the best-looking (in a city slicker sort of way) bag in our line.

It fits a 9.5 x 14-inch laptop, and lots of books and files and clothes on top of that, making it the perfect commuter sack. When you get to the office, just unsnap and lift-up the SlickerSack, and sashay past the office ladies holding it either in briefcase-style in your fist, purse style off one shoulder (it comes with an adjustable shoulder strap), or bandolier style, like Pancho Villa.

Like all of the Sackvilles, it is made of the same stiff, super dense, waterproofed Scottish cotton Range Rover raincovers are made of.  It is detailed with fine American bovine hide, and made visible at night with the best and brightest 3M Scotchlite.

Every stitch is tight and straight and neat, and ends on the inside of the bag, where the snipped end is burnt with an alcohol flame and smeared so it won't unravel. You won't see that, though, but because the SlickerSack is fully padded and lined with grey American-made nylon, for wipe-cleanability.

The SlickerSack requires Mark's Platrack, which in turn requires (in the sense that it mounts to) either a Mark's Rack or a Nitto Mini Front. We've sold a lot of those over the years, and the Platrack, topped by this SlickerSack, is the slickest rig around.

This bag, like all Sackville bags, is top-notch through and through.
