Gamoh Cargo Rack
Gamoh Cargo Rack
You've seen racks-like-this all over the place these days. They're welded thick tubes with wooden bases, and are typically sized to fit multiple six-packs of alcohol, although you can certainly carry other things in them.
This one isn't so different from the others out there, but it is a particularly good value; it mounts easily, particular on 700c-wheel bikes; and it is made in Japan.
No word yet on "gamoh." It's "homag" backward, but that gives no clue. Palindromists quickly come up with Ma Hog, and Am Hog, and it is a stout rack. It weighs five pounds and carries up to forty.
We-here-at-Rivendell make it a practice to help racks with heavy loads by lifting some of the weight off the rack and hanging it from the bar with a strap. It isn't strictly necessary, but has to help. There are photos showing the concept.
Basket Dimensions: 18" x 12.5" x 4.25"
