I have used two baskets on my Betty Foy: the Wald wire basket, which is easy to zip tie to this rack and is enormously practical but not gorgeous. Or shellac a Peterboro basket (http://goo.gl/rkIj) and tie it with zips and leather straps. Works fine either way.

I've had this rack on my Saluki for about 5 years and it has consistently served me well. Most of its use has been with a L'il Loafer, which is an excellent combination for commuting--but it has also been rigged with a large wald basket and large sackville shop sack for grocery shopping. It is a really handy rack: rock solid and versatile.

I've had my Mini Front Rack for two years now. I use it to carry all kinds of mini (light) things. It looks and works great! If you want to carry big (heavy) things, then get the Big Front Rack

Broken

I had this rack, it looked great. However, its really not practical if you actually want to carry something on your rack. I finally strapped a basket on it, and that worked fine, until it finally broke - on the part that attaches to the frame. So I bought another front basket that attaches to the bike directly and the broken front rack is stuffed in the closet.

Bag and Light

I chose this rack because I wanted a handlebar bag with a traditional decaleur (quick release) and a Busch & Müller dynamo-powered headlamp. On my Surly Cross Check with canti brakes, this rack works great with P clamps with some old inner tube wrapped around the forks. My bag sits on the rack, stabilized by the decaleur; and the lamp mounts to the front of the rack.
When I get to work, the bag quickly lifts off leaving the rack, light, and wiring easily behind. No straps, velcro, or buckles.
