  MUSA Long Sleeve Wool Tee

Made in: USA

product code: AT12

A girl-smooth, micro-fine superlight never too hot crew-neck long sleever, MUSA brand and of a nice blue—the same as the short sleever. The sleeves are long enough for the long-armed, but easily roll up for stubs. The the body’s about right. It’s a tailored, huggy shirt and yet it’s cut reasonably full, so if you’re 5-9.9 x 185 and ordinarily wear a large collard shirt and you don’t want this one too tight, you can go ahead and get the large.

It’s a layery shirt, or a wooly for warm weather. You will freeze in it if it’s your only top on a 45-degree ride, unless you’re charging uphill. But the same lightness makes it wearable about 350 days a year. You will really, really like this top.

Harshly: If you can't wear this (due to scratchiness), you basically can't wear any wool ever, forever. It's just a fact. This shirt is so soft that, seriously, if it's too irritating to you, then somehow---between birth and now---you've devolved way past the point of functionality in the world, and it's time to toughen up a bit.

Less harshly: It's super thin, fine, soft 100 percent merino wool. It fits like a T-shirt, not a time trial jersey. It has more tailoring than we're used to—you could even say it's a slickster cut, with unnecessary panels.

Sizing: Loose. If you're between sizes, you can get the smaller. If these were women's tops, they'd be"vanity sized." Still, if you like loose, you can always buy up.

Washing: Wash cold and air dry for best non-shrinky results but if you forget and wash warm, dry warm, it will still keep most of its original size.

Color is steel blue. Lighter weight wool than our Australian-made Ktena tops.

MUSA, and more specifically, made in the Oakland, CA.

same as the MUSA tee, just with sleeves.

Softer than Icebreaker February 16, 2014
Reviewer: wesley from Newhall, CA United States
This was so much softer than lightweight Icebreaker T-Shirt. I  have since returned the Icebreaker.  This is the first merino wool shirt that I have been able to sleep in without waking up itchy and irritated.  BUY IT.

Perfect base layer January 15, 2013
Reviewer: Jeff from Silver Spring, MD United States
Having only recently added a lightweight smartwool base-layer long sleeve shirt, I found that I enjoyed wearing it nearly every day once the cold weather moved in. I decided to add this shirt in to the mix and I've quickly found it to be my favorite. The wool is extremely soft and comfortable, and the cut is interesting, possibly a bit athletic. I've been able to wear this several times between washing and it has held up with no sign of wear at all. I suspect I could wear this weight of wool nearly every day of the year.
