No way around it-- these are funny lookin' but functional. I wear canvas shoes while riding in the rain (~6 miles commute), and they keep my feet dry.
I took off one star, because the large is too big for my regular shoes (size 10). They fit better when I wear my winter boots.
Surprisingly, I can get them to work with toe clips but YMMV. (The splat goes over the clip while my shoe goes into the clip.) Would probably work with clipless pedals, but I don't use those. :)

They keep my feet dry, they're easy to put on and take off, and the material and construction are heavy duty so I expect them to last a long time. UPDATE: I wore these on a 50 mile ride during which it rained all but about 10 minutes. My shoes stayed 98% dry, feet 100% dry.

Wet Feet

I wanted to love these, but have found them to be just "OK." Perhaps I'm doing something wrong... but I'm not quite sure what it could be 'cause these are pretty simple. My MUSA Splats keep my feet mostly dry, but my toes (and the front of my shoes) still get wet. FWIW... I wear a men's 12 and have the large Splats.

These get the job done really well. No complaints. Makes a huge difference on a rainy day not to get shoes soaked. Just got compliments on them from a fellow bike commuter this morning.

Better than you can imagine!

I got these about 5 months ago, but the biggest test was last night -- 12 miles in steady rain. These were better than expected! I thought -- maybe some dampness around the edge? Maybe soak through? NO! My shoes were nearly completely dry. I did have wet ankles and the bottom of my pants were exposed under rain pants. My top was wet on the inside from condensation. My feet were fine, with Splats over nylon upper shoes and cotton socks. In fact, my feet were better than any other part. Wow! Splats are easy to bring along when you are not sure you will need them. They fold up flat. I also have heavy overshoes which completely protect feet and ankles (look up Tingley), but those are so heavy, on an iffy day, I don't want to bring those along. The splats are perfect to have in uncertain weather. They have also been very effective with light rain and/or wet roads, keeping shoes dry instead of damp.
