These are the MTB tires we're going to stock. They're about as normal as a mountain bike tire can be, not feather light, not bulldozer heavy, not too much tread and not too little. I (Will) have been riding them on the road to my regular trails and they're surprisingly roadish feeling. Maybe a slight buzz when I stand up but not enough to distract me. Once you're on the trail they have plenty of grip, cornering and going up steep stuff. I know Brian used them in the Sierrras on a Clem and they passed his test too.
They're a good choice for anybody riding trails. They're more rounded than Smart Sams, so you can corner on the road with more confidence. They're labeled as 2.4 but they measure out at around 53mm on Atlas rims and are good for Hunqapillars, Clems and 650b Atlanti.
They're handmade in Germany, have a folding bead with a light form of puncture protection, and are tubeless ready if you're so inclined. 760 grams.
