Woodies
Woodsmen, lumberjacks, carpenters, batsmen, and ditch diggers have grasped wood-handled tools for aeaeaeons, and now you can too, with these wooden bar grips.
They're shaped to fit your hand, and the lack of cush makes absolutely no difference. It might even be better. They slide on easily and snug on with screws. There's a plastic sleeve in there, and we've found they won't slip at all if you apply some adhesive between the wood and the hidden plastic sleeve. What kind of adhesive doesn't matter, and I don't want to dwell on this too much. The same stuff you'd use for cork grips will work fine.
They feel great, and are bound to age well and get even grippier. They don't feel like tacky rubber or anything, but if you can hold an axe or hammer or baseball bat or shovel without it coming out of your hands at inopportune times, you'll be fine with these.
Stained dark brown. No two exactly alike, of course. Relatively cheap, at $40.
Birch wood, 4-7/8" long.
For 22.2mm (7/8") handlebar grip diameter (which is the standard size for all mt bikey, straight, cruiser, non-drop handlebars). Will not work on 23.8mm grip diameter of moustache and road drop style bars.
ALSO! They don't work on Dove bars. It's been done, but requires modification. But Yes! they work on Albatross bars.
