These are the best riding shorts we've used. They're light, slightly textured nylon, so they're as tough as cycling shorts need to be, yet still super light. They dry fast if they get wet. The two front pockets are big. Two pockets in back are pretty inconsequential, but they keep the shorts from looking smooth-back-there and feminine.

There's a removable elastic belt with a Fastex buckle.

The crotch is seamless.

The legs are wide and long enough, but not too wide or too long.

The look is good. Nice colors, nothing wild. You can wear them on or off the bike.

The new grey is slightly lighter than the one shown.

They're cut full and on the long side, and if your legs are on the thin side, you might wish they were less full, but they'll still work great for you.

MOST NOTABLY&intelligently&thankfully, they lack a sewn-in pad. Virtually all other shorts marketed as cycling shorts have those, and we hate 'em. You regular clothes don't have sewn-in underwear, and you get along fine without it, don't you?

Same here. By using separate underwear (padded or not), you can sweat in the crotch and you can launder the undies separately. Sewn-in pads or whatever are useful for racing shorts, but it makes no sense at all to carry that feature over to non-racing wear, and we're proud not to have done it.

Nylon. Waist sizes are approximates, since they have adjustable elastic
belts. If you are a guy, buy the same size pants as you do skivvies,
and you will be fine. Women, go by sizes shown here.
