They're cut on the same patterns as our normal Musa shorts, but they're plaid, and not just any plaid.

The BOO refers to the 65 percent bamboo, 35 percent poly fabric. The SUCKER is the puckery seersucker. It feels cottony, and is really light.

The pockets and crotch are navy taslan nylon, like our other MUSA shorts. MUSA stands for Made in the USA, and they are in fact quite well-made and have nice details. The sidepockets are bar-tacked for strength. The two rear pockets have buttons. The elasticized belt has a two-way side-release buckle, so you don't have a long dangler belt-end. They're cut full, for pork-thighed riders. They're long, but not high-school-kid long. The pockets are big. The stitching is neat, and you just won't find anything bad about them. If you like our regular MUSA shorts and pants, you'll like these, too.

Our mark up on clothing is much smaller than Bean, REI, and so on. They'd buy these for roughly 20 percent of what they cost us, and yet at some level we have to compete with them. Our MUSA margins are unheard of in the garment world, but they still may be a stretch for you, especially these days.

Still, these are really nice shorts. Great on the bike, great off the bike, no sewn-in pad (so your crotch doesn't get all hot).
