Take a look around: There just aren't as many toe-strap makers as there used to be. These are made in France by Zefal. They're plain leather, NOT laminated, and they work fine. Priced pure pear.
You don't need and won't benefit from laminated straps. Not unless you're a Russian kilo rider.
