All superfine merino wool, not scratchy, no problem.

They all have thumbloops, which well, most of the time you won't use them, but every now and then you might. They're all cut kind of long. They're also all cut kind of slender, so that if you have a 42 chest, for instance, and you want a big of sag in the fit, you get a 2XL.

They're machine washable and dryable, but wash warm---and as for drying, let the sun or air do it. You don't have to, but they'll shrink less that way. They don't shrink a lot in any case.
Wool weight is 260g per square meter, compared to 200 on the sleeveless, short-sleeve, and long-sleeve crewnecks.
Good alone or layered. BUY UP A SIZE OR TWO.
