These are the same fancy brake pads that we include with our Silver dual pivot sidepull brakes.  What's fancy about these is that the pads slip in a shiny aluminum holder.  The aluminum holders also have a shark-fin like piece that's there to help you guide the wheel in between the brake easier and the fins also act as heat sinks to kool off your rims while braking.  These can also be used on the Dia-Compe centerpulls to spiff them up and improve their braking performance.

The best thing about these pads and holders is that there's a ball and socket that allow you to set up toe in perfectly and easily; a much better system than the bend-the-brake-arm-with-a-crescent-wrench toe in method.

The holders come installed with a dual compound pad for all 'round use And an extra set of salmon  slip-in pads are included as well.  Two for the price of one, sort of.

These might not work with some Shimano sidepulls with narrow slots.
