IRD designed this specifically for compact triples, with big rings 50t or smaller. That's the kind we like and it's an important detail that's hard to find in a non mountain bike front derailleur. The cage is radiused to follow the radius of a smaller big ring's teeth and the cage is also just the right length so that it doesn't hit the chainstay when you're shifting to the granny.

It's braze-on mount but we include a 28.6mm seat tube clamp adapter.
