If you wanna use linear pull/v-brakes And drop bars then getting these brake levers is one way to make it work (the other thing to do is get travel agents).  Linear pull/v-brakes are a little simpler to set-up because the brake cable and housing can be routed directly to them (like sidepulls) foregoing the need of routing the housing to a brake bridge or cable hanger first.  

Tektro are the fine Taiwanese manufacturers of these brake levers as well as the normal pull Cane Creek levers so it's no surprise that they are very similar in size and shape, and feature that neat quick release button.

It's a smart idea to get these brake levers , too so you can brake from anywhere on your drop bars.

And it's a good idea to get these barrel adjuster noodles, too. 


Clamp diameter is 23.8mm, like all other Road bike type brake levers,
for use on Moustache
or
drop type style bars.  Will Not work on Mt. bike or
Albatross or Dove
style bars since those have a 22.2mm brake clamp diameter.  This is not
to be confused with stem clamp diameter which is a totally different
thing.
