If you want to mount your Silver Shifters to the Paul Thumbie base, these adapters will hold the core of the Silver shifter securely, just like a normal DT shifter boss. 

We've mounted Silver Shifters on the Thumbies without these, but over time the combination of the long button-head screw, lock washer and nut would loosen to the point that the shifter would slip under the force of the derailleur spring.  This new adapter solves that problem.
