I put a light coat of Brooks Proofide (Proofide came with the saddle, which also included a polishing cloth, wrench, and waterproof saddle cover) on my new B17 Select and took it on a 40 mile ride the very next day. It was comfortable out of the box and it did NOT stain my white shorts! So now I can "Just Ride" without worrying about what I am wearing. I have been on several rides since, and it only gets better. This is a great saddle and Riv has the best price and (since it is over $150) free shipping. So Riv has a great price, free shipping, and lightning fast service. If you buy a B17 Select elsewhere, you are a churl. :-)

No more colored pants!

I bought a b67 Select because my other Brooks saddle was dyed brown. My work requires khaki pants, so whenever I would ride to work when it was hot out, or if it ever got a little wet, it would look like I had an accident on the way. Undyed leather is well worth the price premium, and will last quite a bit longer since the leather is so thick!
Comfort out of the box and no stains!
