Nitto Bar Plugs

Most of the handlebars around here are plugged with shifters, with now and then a cork, but if you don't use bar-end shifters and recycled wine corks don't fit the dcor, then these Nitto fancies ought to do.

There's a bolt, a nut, a compression-expansion washer, a blue chunk of rubber that fattens upon tightening, and then the cap---which comes in red, blue, gold, or silver.

A pair weighs 1.5oz, which is 0.6oz more than a Velox plug. They look lots better.

They fit any handlebar that fits bar-end shifters: Drops, Moustache H'bar, Alabamatrossers, Bosco and so on. Not Bullmoose, not Doves, not most flat bars.

Tighten with a 3mm allen, not included.

Trust Nitto to make something simple beautifully.  I got a pair last Christmas and put them on my single-speed.

Remember those dreadful Cinelli cheapo bar end plugs which wouldn't stay put?These will never come unplugged unless you take a wrench to them.

A relatively inexpensive piece of bike jewelry.Buy a pair; you won't regret it.
