I'm using this bag in conjunction with the Nitto Grip R50, and it's a fantastic combination.
Even though this is the small size, you can fit a lot into it. I would compare it to being roughly 1.5 times the amount of space in my Brand V Grabsack.
As long as you get the seat post buckle nice and tight (I did this by wrapping an old tube around the post) your bag isn't going anywhere. The only time I was able to get it to sway a little was when I was really cranking up a hill which caused the bike to rock back and forth quite a bit. I've ridden with it on and off-road, and I am confident that the bag will stay put with its contents to remain inside.
When looking at this online, $145 may seem steep. However, when you put it on your bike and see how well made it is, and how long it will last...in my opinion $145 is more than reasonable. I can hardly ride around without getting compliments on the bag.

Like the reviews of the olive model...but tan...

I knew the SS Small was the perfect "small" saddlebag. Aesthetically, the olive doesn't do it (though I have an olive XS, for the record) for me and I'm thrilled that it became available in tan. It is every bit what the reviewers (of the olive version) say it is!
