Description

This is the most useful garment we sell. Wear it as a first layer under a seersucker or any other dressy-type shirt, or under any of the woolies you see in this catalogue. Or you can wear it on top, and take it off mid-ride if you start to sweat too much. That's actually a good way to go, because you can strip off a layer from your torso only. Layer this with a short-sleeve or long-sleeve featherweight or both, and you've got a great system. The thin-as-filo dough layers keep you warm, dry out fast, and give you tons of flexibility. It looks great with a green one, too. The green and blue together.  At $45, it's no impulse buy, but it's a thing you'll wear all year long.

SIZING: If you like loose shirts, buy UP a size or two. Minimal shrinkage, but still & I/Grant am 5-10 x 185 pounds, my dress shirt size is a L, and I like shirts to sag a lot, so I wear a 2XL. Plan accordingly.

I've worn these from maybe 8 deg F up to over 100 (but not on the same day).  In the winter they are a great base layer, and in the summer they are great by themselves, they wick sweat away and don't get clammy like cotton.  I always get a few new ones packed away just in case you're out of stock sometime!

Perfect lil layer. Have not had a chance to wear it above 85 degrees, but works well down to around 65 by itself, or around 55 with a button down over it.
Cut long. I am 6'5" and it still comes down to mid thigh.
I ordered one size bigger than my normal shirt, and fit is great. Not flappy, but loose enough to put layers underneath. Thicker wool than I initially expected, but sooooo comfortable.

Great purchase. Recommended to all.

My favorite shirt October 6, 2011

I have several wool shirts, zipper, long sleeve, short sleeve, and these sleeveless ones.  I love them all, but these get the most wear.  Solo, under a heaver one, over a heavier one, under a cotton tee or a polo.  They really hold up well despite being ultra light weight.
