Description

Your basic, useful, long-sleeved crewneck T.

Midweight interlock. It's thicker, soft, luxurious, and warmer. You won't wear it above about 70-degrees, but it's the best choice when it's cooler and you don't necessarily want to layer over it.

FIT: On the snug side. They stretch a lot, but if you wear a large T-shirt or dress shirt and you want one of these to cut you a little slack, buy up a size, or even two. Machine washable and dryable, but we always suggest air-drying.

I/Grant wear a large T-shirt and go for XL or even 2X in these. I like loose clothes.

Best winter baselayer December 16, 2013
Reviewer: Christian from Chappaqua, NY United States
Have owned mine since 2004; simply the best winter baselayer there is.  For an hour-long constant effort exercise, synthetic baselayers are ok, but for hours out in the cold, and especially for variable efforts - hard climbs and fast descents - where you're bound to get sweaty, this is simply the best baselayer there is.  Soft enough to wear against the skin, very warm.  This and a wool jersey keep will keep you happy at 32d or lower!

I have several of these... September 26, 2013
Reviewer: John from Portland, OR United States
I wish I had bought these when they were available in many different colors years ago...but black is hard to argue with.  They're tough, well-made garments and I like that they need not be washed often, which for those of us still relying on quarters and crummy apartment washing machines and dryers is a great thing!

Thought it would be good, and it's even better February 27, 2012
Reviewer: S.H. from Seattle, WA
This is the single most expensive shirt I think I've ever purchased, and definitely the best. It's easy to assume that Rivendell will only carry products that are really good, and this is certainly really good/excellent. Not scratchy, fits like I thought it would, and makes me eager for camping season to arrive in the Pacific Northwest
