Shipping International Orders

Rivendell can ship just about anything anywhere. 

We charge a flat rate for International orders. $35 to Canada, and $50 for the rest of the world. (Air mail with tracking information.) That is for clothes and bike parts, but not for frames, wheels, rims, or complete bikes. For those, we charge whatever we are charged. We usually ship via the post office, but also use UPS, when needed. 

We are the first to agree that $50 is a lot of money to spend to ship one or two things.

The shipping charge is just a part of the fee. By the time we add in the labor and materials cost for the packing, international paperwork, and special post office trip, we still end up losing money on the deal. We apologize, but after too many lost packages (and the cost that we absorbed to replace them), we didn't have any choice but to opt for the Super Fancy service.  

There is one thing we have no control over- What your government charges you for import duties, taxes, and fees.

Please call your local Office of This Sort of Thing, and check with them before you place an order if you are concerned about duty. We don't know if you will be charged (or how much) in your neck of the woods, and have no way of figuring it out.
