Starting today Thurs-the 10th we have a few out-of-character things, mostly just stocking stuffers for kids, but the kinds of things they'll like. Made in the USA, too.
In a day we'll have slipper socks from Australia. Those leather-bottomed jobs that were popular in the '50s and '60s. The ones we're getting are the best of their kind, and if you don't already have your Uggs or whatever, these are good ones. They pack easier than Uggs. They cost way, way less. You can wear them IN bed, too. Not bad.
The thick striped beanie is back in stock. It's the best thick-soft-fluffy-furry beanie in the world.
We now have a long-sleeved wooly tops, and a wine-colored one, too, in less than a week. Light beanies to match.
Buy a Smile Train shirt or disc. All the proceeds (every cent of your purchase) goes to the Smile Train, and it's a wonderful charity. The discs are made in Michigan, and are the best-flying discs you'll ever throw.
The Rivendell-logo disc proceeds (every penny) goes to the Fistula Foundation. It's not that we don't need the money, but we don't survive on toy-sales, so we get these in just to give the money to charity.
We're working on two new bikes. The SimpleOne is a replacement for the Quickbeam. Sizes 54 thru 64, same geometry, basically the same frame. We may have complete bikes, but at least frames.
And a new bike, kind of an Atlantis replacement, name not announceable yet, but details will follow. We have some of the last Japanese-built Atlantises, and with the dollar at a 14-year low against the Yen, that may be the end of it. (People often call up disappointed that we don't have something anymore, even when we announce that it's going away for several months. It's understandable. I've done the same, but right now, we're telling you: Want a Japanese-built Atlantis? Call 800-345-3918...---G
